To better prepare entrants for the weekend ahead, please read the rules and guidlines of the competition carefully.

1. Contestants must be female and a member of Macra na Feirme,
   a Young Farmers Club or an Irish overseas association.
   
2. Contestants must be 18 years or over on 1st January 2008.
   
3. No entrant may be or have been a professional model.
   
4. The promoting organisation in each county/region in Ireland will be Macra na Feirme or the Young Farmers Club, and forms must be signed by the Regional/County Secretary.
   
5. In matters relating to the adjudicating the decision of the Judges will be final.
   
6. Entries must be on the Official Entry Form (see attachment below), and be accompanied by the entry fee of € 50. Postal orders, cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to Meath Macra na Feirme, Blue Jean Country Queen Festival.
   
7. It is a requirement that Contestants stay with their Host Family during the weekend of the Festival.
8. Each contestant requires the following:
   
   
   Modelling:

   1 pair of jeans and accessories of her own choice
   
   1 other outfit of her own choice
   
   Football:

   1 fancy dress outfit
   
   Banquet:

   1 formal dress outfit
   
   Plus usual daywear
   
   The organising committee reserve the right to alter any of the above rules
