Happy Birthday!!

The 2007 Blue Jean Country Queen Festival will be the 20th Festival and the Committee feels this is cause for some extra celebrations!! Meath Macra na Feirme is proud that the Festival has become a major event not only in Meath but also on the National Macra calendar since it began in 1987.

Plans for this year’s Festival are well under way and a special subcommittee is putting together a special birthday celebration. They are looking for old photos or other memorabilia from past festivals so have a look through those old Macra albums and scrapbooks!

Help us celebrate our 20th Birthday in the Old Darnley Lodge Hotel at 8pm on Saturday June 2nd. Once you’ve recovered from the shock of wondering just where the years have gone to; you can meet with old friends and share happy memories of festivals past. There will be a slice of Birthday cake particularly you if you have represented your county in past festivals, were a Host Family, Judge, Sponsor or general supporter of the festival!
